Why should I purchase a Lost Pet Protection membership?

Time is everything when it comes to a lost pet. The faster you can spread the word, the better your chance of avoiding negative outcomes.

That is why PawBoost exists – to be your Amber Alert for lost pets. And it works: We’ve helped reunite over 1 million pets since we got started in 2014.

Spreading the word fast is what we do. And there’s no better way to do it than our premium services like Facebook Ads, Instagram Alerts, and Featured Pet. In a matter of hours, your lost pet’s alert reaches thousands of local people. But, all that advertising gets expensive.

That’s why we now offer Lost Pet Protection. Buying a membership is the most cost-effective way to make sure your pet is protected. For a low annual fee, you get up to $1,000 in PawBoost credit should a pet go missing.

What can PawBoost credit be used for?

PawBoost credit is as good as cash. You can use it to buy any of our premium services including:

Facebook Ads ($44.99 – $99.99 per week)

Advertise your lost pet’s alert to local people on Facebook. Estimated views range from 5,000 to 15,000 per week. Our original and best-selling premium lost pet recovery service.

Instagram Alerts ($50 per week)

Advertise your lost pet’s alert to local people on Instagram. Reach a younger demographic on the popular mobile platform. Best when used in conjunction with Facebook Ads to maximize local reach.

Featured Pet ($25 – $200 per week)

Feature your pet at the top of our lost & found database. Pin your pet to the top for your entire city, or even your entire state. Anyone searching our lost & found pets database in that area will see your pet first.

Homepage Spotlight ($250 per week)

Feature your lost pet directly on our homepage. Our homepage gets over 80,000 hits per week. This is the primary page on our website people go to report a lost or found pet.

How do I use my credit?

If a protected pet goes missing, activate Lost Pet Protection by going to My Pets, then clicking the ‘Report Pet’ button. Once you report your lost pet, credit dollars will automatically become available, and your credit balance will be reflected in your pet’s dashboard.

How many pets can I include on my membership?

The number of pets you can include on your membership depends on your subscription. Our Basic plan protects one pet, while our Maximum plan protects up to 6.

Lost Pet Protection is available for your owned pets only. It can not be used for a pet you found or for someone else’s lost pet.

What if my pet is reunited before my dollars are used?

Unused dollars will be credited back to your account and will remain available for future occurrences of a missing pet.

Do I get more credit the longer I have Lost Pet Protection?

Yes! With each renewal, your credit balance will increase.

The amount it increases depends on your tier. Our Basic plan increases your balance by $250 each year, while our Maximum plan increases your balance by $1,000.

Is there a cap to how much credit I can earn?

Credit will accrue up to $5,000, after which point it will stop accruing.

How do I cancel?

Cancel any time by logging into your PawBoost account, going to your Account page, then clicking ‘Cancel Subscription’ under Billing.

What happens to my credit if I cancel?

Any credit accrued will be available until the end of your current billing period. After that, it will no longer be available.

Can I use my credit right away?

Credit becomes available 14 days after a protected pet is registered.
