Here are some tips:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Puppy Play Room<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>It can be daunting to try to make the entire house puppy\nsafe. Luckily, you don\u2019t have to! Make sure you have some puppy\napproved flea and tick shampoo at home so you are ready to spring into action\nat the first sign of these pesky bugs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Crate Training<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have not looked into it, research <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pawboost.com\/blog\/how-to-teach-your-dog-to-love-his-crate\/\">crate training<\/a> to find out about the number one method professional dog trainers will recommend for both housebreaking and safety purposes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Being able to put your puppy in the crate so that you can\nhave some time off from supervising them is a real mental health saver. In\naddition, the crate is a safe and secure environment that your puppy will\nquickly adapt to and likely associate with a well-earned nap.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Done right, crate training will provide you a lifetime of\nbenefits:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Traveling with a dog is a breeze when they are\ncrate trained. You can leave them at the hotel while you go to dinner knowing\nthat they have a sense of security with the familiar scent and feel of their\ncrate. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Crates give you a valuable training tool that\nyou can use instead of harsh punishments. Be sure your shopping list includes teething toys that are designed to\ngive your pup an irresistible chew during the tough teething period. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Proofing the Yard<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Finally, don\u2019t forget to take some time to puppy proof the\noutdoor spaces where your puppy will spend time. It will certainly bring you some peace of mind to know\nthat hazards are out of reach or locked away before turning your back on your\nyoung dog, even for a moment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Remember that puppies still require supervision at all\ntimes, particularly for the first 6 months of their lives, regardless of how\nwell you puppy proof your home and yard. Crate training and providing plenty of\nappropriate toys will add to your puppy proofing efforts as well. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Finally, unless you have experience training dogs already,\nconsider enrolling your puppy in basic manners classes so that you can learn\nsome valuable training techniques and your puppy can get some much needed\nsocialization with other dogs his age.
