MESSAGE FROM OWNER

If you have him please let him go.. did not see any coyotes nor bobcats in our area lately (there is many baby rabbits around). He is not a cat that would go on the streets, knows the neighborhood really well (leash trained in there) This is not a thing that he will do, I am really depressed, sleeping for hours, seeinf him in my dreams.. can't go to my room as every place reminds me of him.. he was my best friend, and reduced my anxiety before every night, I cannot eat properly since he is lost, I can't look to his photos, cry every day, always calling his name... I miss him really much, I am afraid that something might have happened to him),: please if you have him let him go... he eats in every 4 hours, I put his food on the back and front yard however, the crows kept eating it (so I can't put it anymore)... please help me find him\: Contact me from 19gs05z19b07@gmail.com, if seen or found or if you have him... PLEASE HELP!

Go out and look for kitty, don't wait for them to come home. And the best time to go out looking is around midnight to 1 am, but don't wait to go out, especially if you saw them escape. At midnight, it's quiet and your cat would feel safer wandering around. Put out his/her used litter box. Your kitty won't have gone too far and is most likely within 3 or 4 houses from where they went missing. Take a flashlight with you, looking for eye reflections when looking under decks, cars, bushes etc. Quietly and calmly call kitty's name. Take treats and smelly nummy food with you and call them for treats in the same manner you would if you were at home. If you spot your cat, remain calm and if possible, sit down and let kitty come to you and the treats. Do not freak out or get overly emotional when you see, or finally capture your kitty, it could cause them to freak out and run away. Check the City of Calgary impounded animals website. Also check the Calgary Humane Society lost and found website and any other shelter you can think of. Put up posters in your area and go door-to-door to see if your neighbours have seen your kitty. Never give up.

Please don't give up looking - he's probably hiding somewhere close. Go out and take his favorite treats and call. Ask your neighbors to check their garages - sheds - under stairs - decks and bushes. He's probably hiding somewhere close and feeling scared and confused. Ask your neighbors to check more than once - cats are very good at hiding. Check at night late when it's quiet as that's when he may feel safer to come out. Put out his dirty cat box and some of your worn clothes. The scent will help him find home. Go out at night when it's quiet and take his favorite treats. Call him softly and listen for soft meows back - especially near garages and sheds he may have become trapped inside. Take a flashlight and look under bushes and other hiding places for reflective cat eyes. Ask your family and friends to help you make posters and put them up all over your neighborhood - especially near stores and your community center. Call Veterinary clinics and animal shelters in case someone brought him in or called about spotting him. Post on YYC site too - they have a very large following. Don't give up - keep looking especially at night. I hope you find him soon. I'm sharing. Please post in YYC group too. They have a very large following. The more people looking for your kitty the better. Please also consider building a catio for your kitty. Catios can be any size or shape and they keep your kitties safe. They also save the lives of many small song birds. Please consider building a catio - you can Google them for ideas.
