How to find a lost cat. Watch the video, then read the comments below for more helpful hints. https://youtu.be/g2eCoC63B9I Things to do if you've lost a cat: 1. Put out unwashed laundry with your scent near your door. 2. Leave garage door or some way back inside open if possible. 3. If you can safely leave a door or window open while you’re home (no other pets), sometimes cats will return on their own. 4. Check under bushes and cars with flashlight early in the morning and at night. 5. Rattle treat bag or dry kibble at usual feeding time. Kitty is probably close by. 6. Call for kitty at dusk and dawn, and/or usual mealtimes. Spend as much time searching. 7. Have neighbors check garages and sheds. 8. Check all your closets, garage, under beds and furniture, pantry, behind sheds, etc. 9. Make giant neon posters. 10. Cross post to other Lost & Found sites. Post on Nextdoor.com. 11. Check SD Humane sdhumane.org Animal Control, Pawboost, Craigslist (beware of scammers) and other on line pet sites. 12. Ask neighbors if they’ve seen your cat on their ring doorbell. 13. Put water out. 14. Post on Nextdoor. 15. File a Lost Pet Report with the San Diego Humane Society sdhumane.org Keep looking. Don’t give up and don’t depend on others. Good luck! 🌻
