Dear kind compassionate neighbor. I ADORE people like you who look out for the often ignored lost/stray roaming kitty. Thank you for feeding kitty and for posting here. Might I suggest the following: Consider posting on nextdoor com under 'lost and found' and the 'cat owner' groups. Lost cats tend to stay near their last residence. Unfortunately many kitty owners give up WAY TOO SOON on the search assuming kitty is never coming back or deceased (not realizing how close they remain and/or sometimes they're trapped in a garage etc) so I highly advise informing your neighbors by putting up some FOUND- IS THIS YOUR CAT FLYERS around your block/s and also distributing these notices (5 on 1 page) You can cut them and then use painter's tape to adhere to door nobs/mailboxes and/or garages all around the block and across the street around that block. If there are apts with multiple residents I tape over the mailbox area so all can see or better is taping 1 note per mailbox. If the cat is friendly enough to lure inside your home, and eventually into a cat carrier (I have one you can borrow!) it would be best to bring to a local vet to check if kitty has a microchip with guardian info. If kitty is skittish and timid and you can only feed at a distance, continue to do so (thank you!) and I consider using a humane trap to trap her then bring her inside for a day or so to calm down and bring to vet to check for chip (I have a humane trap you can borrow anytime). My vet at Ocean Ave are open daily even Sundays and they are great about same day appts when needed. Go to www happycatlad com to download FLYER TEMPLATE (you can edit on your desktop) Here's the 5on1 page door note Template: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1SavKJXQFRxY0n0h9yleSGXyY2W5-FbwG9QIPARNud1A/edit#slide=id.p If you need help with creating these notes/flyers I'm happy to do for you and send back to you for printing...or I can send to print for you at a nearby Fedex (can upload order for PRINT pick up - way cheaper than UPS store print. I live on 18th ave between Noriega and Ortega and hope I hear back xoxoxo 650.339.6619
