Shared. Please take the kitty for a microchip scan asap. Some pet stores and most veterinary offices will scan for free. File a found report with the shelter, the family may already be checking with them for any information. You don't have to surrender the kitty to file the report. Post flyers in the area where you found her, and ask people in the neighborhood if they know anything about the kitty. Someone might know something. If they have security cameras, ask them to check the video for any clues. Check the list of missing kitties on Pawboost, the kitty could be reported missing on the website. Go back on their posts at least a few weeks to be sure, no way to know how long the kitty has been out there. Ask for proof when someone contacts you to claim the kitty, and pay close attention to the kitty's reaction to the person. If no information can be found and you need to rehome the kitty, please contact local rescue groups for advice and help. Good luck.
