San Tan Valley, AZ Lost Female Cat, Precious Is Missing

Thank you all for your great ideas and support. I put the cat carrier out by the back wall that she jumped over to escape. My daughter and I have walked the neighborhood morning and night calling her name. She is usually stand-offish until she is hungry. We are going to put up flyers around the neighborhood. We had a cat about 5 yrs ago that was sly and quick and she got away when we moved. She was spotted on Nextdoor in a lady's garage and she had frequented the night manager at a local Bashas who had been feeding her behind the store. But both times she got away before I could get to her. About 2 weeks later I received a call from a military police officer telling me they found a cat and ran her chip and it came back to me. The officer said she had been hurt and I asked him for the address and he said he was calling from the military base at Fort Drum NY. Apparently a service member found my cat in AZ and took her to NY and she must have gotten away from them but ran into a machine that tore her up so bad she had to be put down. It was a horrible experience. I'm hoping this situation has a much better ending. Thank you again for your support and Happy Mother's Day! ❤️

Let your neighbors know - post flyers. Go out looking at dawn and dusk, and after dark - use a flashlight and look for eyeshine. Think like a cat and check all the hiding places - she may be trapped in a shed or garage. Put her cat bed and dirty clothes or blanket that smell like you outside your door to help her smell her way home. Good luck.
