Jamie I don't see search parties as much as I once did in these posts. I am torn with putting it in my guide. If they never worked I would not have them in my guide at all. I want to say you are right but in a few cases the trick has worked. And I don't want to limit a chance to get a pet home. Much like the Litterbox Trick that can be dangerous for a lost cat, a search party who have a well thought out plan to maneuver/find/trap the pet has worked too. And I really get it both can be so bad in some cases but in others it is the best solution. Having said all that I agree search party is a desperation move and should not be used.
