I hope that Max is chipped. If so, contact the microchip company right away to report him lost. No mention about his license, owner ID tag and microchip tag being on his collar. Those are the best ways to keep your pet safe, yet so many people don’t do them. So sad. All new pet parents should take these two steps as soon as they adopt. Share this information also on Lostmydoggie.com, Petharbor.com, Nextdoor.com and Messenger for more free widespread publicity. First two, like Pawboost, have separate pages for lost and found pets, so a match often occurs. You have to keep checking all three sites often. First two also share their posts electronically with veterinary hospitals and shelters. Nextdoor and Messenger reach the largest number of your closest neighbors and beyond. Make and post fliers all around your neighborhood, even on your car. Take some to veterinary hospitals and shelters, even homeless shelters. Check back often. Go out every day at a different time each day with treats, and call his name. Leave something of yours or Max’s outside - a piece of clothing, a doggie bed or favorite toy - so he can detect the scent. Dogs and cats have a keen sense of smell. Good luck.
