DESCRIPTION
Brown dog. Medium size. Approx 3-5 years old. Skinny, tall, 48 lbs. Found on South Mountain 6/2/23 without ID. (The County added the cone of shame seen in the photo). Looking for the original owner who can identify dog with their own photos and specific dog details. If owner is not located or is uninterested, I will adopt. Additional Info: I am looking for the owner who likely drove this dog 5 miles up the winding mountain road that begins at the entrance of South Mountain park and terminates at the Dobbins summit or Buena Vista overlook. This is where the dog was found. This owner could reside in any Phoenix suburb or could have been a tourist passing through who decided to drive up and check out the view. Perhaps the dog got out in the parking lot when people were getting into and out of the car. It is unlikely that this dog escaped one of the 50 neighborhoods or dozens of apartment complexes that surround this 16,000 acre park since the dog would have had to make its way up 1,200' elevation gain across ravines and ridges to reach the overlook. We are talking about the largest municipal park in America and it is very remote at the top. This case is the proverbial needle in the haystack but I thought I would post online and give it a shot.
