Please go out at night after traffic noise has down, shine flash light under bushes and things cat can hide under and also in trees. Check out any green spots looking back at you. Call cat and wait for a meow back. Also start from where cat went missing for a radius of 1 mile, knock on doors and ask in person if they will check sheds, garages, window wells, and other outside buildings for cat. ALSO, put cats bed or an old pair of your tennis shoes to help cat know where your porch is. NOT, a litter box that will attract other animals that may keep your cat away. Scared cats usually don't travel far from where they go missing and will wait for YOU to come find them. GOOD LUCK

General Information: Hang clothes with your scent on it high up outside so the familiar scent can travel and guide the cat back home. Ask your neighbors to check their yard/could be accidently stuck in their garage or shed. (If applicable) Check doorbell or home camera - or ask neighbors to check their camera. Post Fliers with a picture of the cat and your contact information in the area the cat went missing. Not everyone is on Social Media and posters have worked in that if spotted a location can be provided. If a cat is scared they make themselves safe by finding a good hiding spot and often times hide in silence. Look in bushes - bring a flashlight and look for shining eyes. Best time to find your cat is in the early morning hours when the noise level is low and they feel safe. Leave an access point open for the cat to return. This is important if they do come back in the middle of the night. Prayers your cat returns/ or is found safely.

Also, I was evicted 2 weeks ago and had just gotten her settled in our little temporary home in the cab of my pickup truck. On a whim, day 1 of eviction I even made the most perfect smell-containing, space-saving litter box. She was immediately so incredibly flexible with the change of scenery and was starting to even hop around and play in the cab. She's so in-tune with my level of stress or calm at all times that I could even drive with her freely(not in kennel) with almost zero sabotage to my driving. And NEVER not even once has she cried or meowed while in the kennel. The back of my cab has those tiny sideways fold-outseat, one of which I've kept unfolded as her bed and provides a hiding spot beneath it for when a loud outside noise, such as a diesel engine or a loud aggressive drunk walking about, scares her. Yesterday was day 5 and after having her kenneled in the truck bed for an hour while I was parked to do a video-call job interview, she got to examine the outdoors atmosphere for the first time, not just in our temporary travel home, but in her life. So that's how she became fearless enough to jump out this morning and vanish while I wasn't paying attention for just 5 seconds .....I didn't realize her time spent out there in the truck bed yesterday would raise a need for caution so much. But aside from bragging about my perfect baby kitty, I say all of this to mention that we were not in a stationary, familiar place, needless to say, where she went out of sight. She knows nothing of where she is....do you think that would make it even more likely that she's hiding for longer periods of time in between whatever moves she's making?
