Taco's Owner/Finder Says
All, I am so happy to report that our darling Taco (after three weeks missing) was spotted by well-meaning neighbors only three blocks away. She was in bad shape and when the neighborhood knew she wa in the vicinity many of its residents went out to look for her. She was spotted and scooped up by my daughter who ran a marathon three blocks to get to her before she disappeared under the floor boards of a deck where she had been hiding and got her to a wonderful Vet Emergency room in Union NJ called "VEG". Obviously disoriented, dehydrated and malnourished. She also suffered a traumatic tail injury injured and will likely require amputation. But she perked up after receiving IV fluids and actually at a little bit according to the VET tech who just called. So there's hope. I was so inspired and encouraged by everyone's well wishes--too many to count and should out--but those of you who said don't give up and sent me all kinds of advice, especially looking at night when it's quiet--My heartfelt THANKS! I will post a picture of Taco when she's safe at home God willing within a few more days.
