MESSAGE FROM OWNER
Early morning on 2/1, Wolf Trap Animal Rescue's transport van from Mississippi was involved in a terrible car mishap on I-66. Thankfully, the driver and all the pets are okay! 🙏 However, when first responders removed the door to assist the driver, five of the rescued cats escaped in fear. 💔 The mishap caused five carriers to break open, and the cats ran off. There is ONE confirmed sighting of ONE of the cats, thanks to a wonderful woman walking the park with her German Short Haired Pointers, we had eyes on kitty but sadly it was too scared to come down to eat and when it finally came down it ran. AREA'S of interest are either side of I66 near Groveton Rd - Amazon/Wayfair Warehouses and surrounding along with the entire Manassas Battlefield and Chinn Ridge. How You Can Help: Check your property & security cameras for any sightings. Share, keep an eye out and VOLUNTEER with efforts on the ground. If spotted, DO NOT CHASE! Take a photo, note the location, and text # on Flyer. These cats have already been through so much - let’s bring them to safety! 🙏 Please share & spread the word!
