Lost Cat
I am so sorry. Get posters out throughout a large square block radius. Cats typically remain close by. MAKE SURE YOU OFFER A REWARD IN BIG RED LETTERS. ITS INCENTIVE FOR PEOPLE TO PAY ATTENTION. EXPECT SPAM CALLS. People are jerks but the good people will pay attention! Let your mailman/woman know and provide them with a poster. And if you can, set up a Ring camera or ask neighbors that are close by to check their camera footage. Stay in contact with your neighbors and have them check their sheds, garages and underneath their homes. Cats come out late at night when they are in fight or flight mode. If you can, leave your door ajar or a window where they usually perch open so that if they return overnight, they can get back inside. You can also set a human trap. There a helpful YouTube videos on how to do this. Lastly, if you have the funds, contact Landa the Pet Detective. If you can afford her, do so immediately. Her hounds will track your dog’s scent. And make sure if you have your pet microchipped that the info is up to date. Alert the microchip company that your pet is missing.
One more thing, if your cat is an outdoor cat, put a GPS collar on them. This is a game changer or consider a Catio so they can be outdoors but never get lost or stollen.
