Is this your cat? I found it this morning on Columbia Pike near S. Courthouse Rd. It has a grayish blue collar with no tag on it and it’s extremely friendly. I can’t keep it. An animal control is on the way over to see if it’s micro chipped.

If I’ve sent you this before please pass along to others that may need help. I pray your cat comes home soon. If she/he is an indoor cat it will typically stay in a 3 to 7 house radius of her home. Indoor/outdoor cats can be up to 17 + houses away. It will hide all day and only come out very late at night. It will not typically come when called. The majority of cats came home between 2 and 4 AM. Leave your garage and porch doors open. Around 10PM put out rotisserie chicken (warm, the smell really carries). Throughout the night get up and go out side. Walk the 3 to 5 house radius and call softly, listen carefully, it could be stuck up in a tree or locked in a neighbor's garage. One man set his alarm and got up every hour and another slept on the couch and heard the cat scratching at the door. I recently heard of one rescue who takes chicken stock and makes a trail of it from the street or yard up to the house. They even poured it up in the bushes and trees where the wind could carry the smell. You will lose sleep, but this has worked time and time again. There is a very helpful video on YouTube called “How to find a lost cat.”

Keep checking secluded spots, garages, bats, under vehicles and bushes. One of mine (indoor ) hid 5 days in a neighbor’s bat. Had looked there several times. Alert shelters, rescue , groups, groups that feed feral co, vets. Prayers he is soon home and safely inside,
