MESSAGE FROM OWNER

We live just off Northshore between Lyons View and Rocky Hill. Please be on the lookout for our sweet girl. She wonders a bit to make new human friends, but typically doesn't go more than a few houses away. If you see her please please call or text me. Our girls are very upset and worried about our social kitty.

DESCRIPTION

Orange, long hair, female with green eyes. Very friendly and social. She has a microchip.

Go out early morning or after dark and quietly call your cat....chances are you cat is scared and hiding....pop the top of a cat food can(or anything) when it's very quiet...also get a picture to your mail carrier...they see EVERYTHING! ...shake the cat chow bag or treat bag...anything that tells your cat it's safe to come out to Mom or Dad!...take a flashlight also...if your cat doesn't come to you, shine it around to see if it catches it's eyes...under bushes and in the trees. Put a BIG, COLORFUL sign in YOUR yard so people know where your cat belongs if they spot him or her...Put a favorite toy/blanket/your worn clothing on the porch…their sense of smell is phenomenal…ask your neighbors to check sheds, crawl spaces and garages. Register the cat as missing with your local shelter-take a picture with you to post if they have a bulletin board-go there every day or 2 to look for yourself…please don't depend on a phone call. The person you speak to may not be aware that your pet might have been turned in.

Give flyer to the local shelter, vet offices and to your mail carrier too!! Missing Animal Response Network has excellent advice on what to do when your pet goes missing. The section about NEON signs is a must but all of the tips will also help you in your efforts to find your pet. Also check on Craigslist under pets lost/found.
