Beverly Yero Schrader I’m glad your Kitty came back to you, my outside cat that has been with us for the last few years and was relocated to another area and ran away. I’m praying he finds his way back to me. It’s almost 30 miles away so I don’t know. I’m so upset with myself that I relocated him. 😩😩😩😩😩

Hi , My name is Fernanda . I hope you find your cat soon 🙏💐. Here some tips . Also check ring cameras and tell neighbors . Check any possible “hole” he can be hidden . Under deck , under bushes . He’s by your property or very near . They get into panic mode . They don’t go far . LOST CAT TIPS Have you distributed flyers to your neighbors and posted them as well even to any businesses close by? Have you set and monitored a humane trap by your door? *NEVER LEAVE A TRAP UNATTENDED. Cats don’t usually go far. They usually will try to return home between 10 PM and 5 AM with peak hours being 3-5 AM. Put a worn shirt of yours outside and continue to replace with a fresh one daily. Do NOT put a litter box outside. It will attract male unneutered cats and predators who will spray property and chase your cat away if trying to return home. Indoor cats dont travel to far the 1st few days. 2-5 houses and usually always go back to original spot cat was lost from and time. They become frighten and it immobilizes them. Put some worn clothes with your scent near by the original spot he was lost from (replace daily especially if it rains). They have a keen sense of smell. Put food there too and also hot (boneless) fried chicken or smelly fish works good in a trail leading to a havahart trap daily. Do not leave trap UNATTENDED! Also leave a window cracked. It may take a few days but dont give up. The 1st 72 hours are crucial....do Foot Searches diligently early morning when it’s quite and at night. Call his name softly every 20 seconds or so. He will only respond to your voice and others that live with him. Anyone foot searching with you should remain silent but eyes open. Check your sheds or neighbors shed or any where they can hide under decks or large bushes. When you do find him don't run up to him he may run, sit on the ground at his level and softly call his name, and should come right up to you. Or if you are close enough to scruff up. These tips i received from 30yr experienced rescuers when i lost my cat in a city he had never been before. We found him after 2 days of intense searching day and night for hours. After searching for 5 blocks we found Oliver at the original house we lost him from at night around 930-10:00p. So don't lose hope and dont give up for the life of your Cat. Pray that God will put him in your path. 🙏🏽 his safe return.
