When we lost our indoor cat, we got good advice that helped him return. I am sharing it in hopes of helping others. We got in contact with tracking places and they suggested that we put out feeding stations that include makerel, water, kibble and your unwashed clothes. Surround in powder to track pawprints. This will keep them in area or draw them back to the area. Most cats stay in a 4 house radius and indoor cats usually stay close to home. Concentrate in that area. Check and change daily. We put stations near a shed or porch so he has a safe place to hide from predators. We got trail cameras too. That way you can see what time and if it is your cat eating. We left our door cracked because I think that sometimes the cat returns but the door is shut. That is hard in winter bit if you have a porch or garage, that may be good. Praying and sharing
