Shared. Post Tobi on Nextdoor, and file a lost report with the shelter right away. Keep checking at the shelter, in case he's found and taken there. Post flyers in the area, and talk to neighbors. Someone might know something. If they have security cameras, ask them to check the video for any clues. Include veterinary offices and pet stores when you post flyers. Ask your neighbors to search their garages and back yards, Tobi could be trapped somewhere. Best if you can arrange to be there when they search. Check inside and under storage sheds, check under porches, decks, bushes. Check trees, inside any large appliances waiting for disposal, check crawl space under the home, bat and attic too. Check any loose vents; Toby could've pried one loose, crawled into the space behind it and be trapped in there. Take a flashlight to help you search poorly lit areas, even in daylight. Take his carrier with his favorite blanket inside. It will keep him safe and calm when you find him, until you get home. Walk around the neighborhood and check under parked vehicles, and check all bushes and trees along the sidewalk. Also check recessed areas and nearby structures. Even very small spaces must be checked: cats can squeeze into them. If you live in an apartment complex, don't forget to check common areas, such as laundry room, parking areas, area where the dumpsters are kept, etc. Take a bag of his favorite treats or an open can of cat food or tuna and a s. Shake the bag or tap the can while you walk around and call out to him. Keep your voice calm, he might stay quiet and hidden if he senses stress in your voice. Some cats feel more secure coming out of hiding right before dark or before dawn, so try that first. If no luck, try other times of the day. Good luck 💕
