MESSAGE FROM OWNER

Dante broke my bedroom window screen and escaped middle of the night yesterday 10/8 Houghton/Keystone area. He is an 11 year old DLH with green eyes and a small knick on his left year from and old cat fight. Dante is extremely friendly and most likely hopped into someone’s backyard or grge. If you have my cat, please bring him back . He has been my family since I moved to Tucson for college and am beside myself not knowing his whereabouts or if he is safe. We have some of his litter in the backyard, his food bowl with tuna outside, and some of our dirty clothes laid out. Tomorrow is my birthday and all I want at this point is my kitty & curled up in my arms. Thank you everyone and hope you’re all having a happy Wednesday.

DESCRIPTION

Black DLH neutered feline. Thinning hair belly and inside of back legs. Small knick left ear from old cat fight. Green eyes. Very friendly very vocal. Responds to “Dante, kitty, mew mew face”

Please DO NOT put out used litter! It attracts predators!

Borrow a humane trap from a shelter like PACC or Hermitage and set it up outside where he escaped, baited with smelly food, especially at night when it's quiet and cool and he's probably hiding, he'll come out searching for food. Keep the trap monitored so it's safe. Also go out searching with a flashlight to reflect eyes, look under, between, behind and inside all area's around your property and your neighbors (with permission of course). Take a treat bag to shake and call him. He might not come running, if he's not used to being outside. Ask neighbors if you could accompany them to check garages, shed's and so on. Blanket your neighborhood with big bright posters and handout flyers. Be careful of scammers who target lost and found sites, never give anyone money who says they have your cat or can find him and never meet anyone alone.
