If you haven't already, put up flyers everywhere as many people aren't on social media. Give flyers to every vet clinic, rescue, and shelter in the area - if he shows up somewhere, the flyer would tell them that he belongs to someone since he's not chipped. Ask them all about local TNR groups and community cat feeders, and give them flyers as well, if applicable. Ask your neighbors to check their cameras, garages, sheds, and crawlspaces. Look up in trees in case he was chased. Go out in the wee hours with a flashlight and look for glowing eyes. Call him in a regular voice (not panicked) and gently shake a treat bag if he likes that sort of thing. Put his beds/blankets and some of your dirty clothes on your porch(es) and around the perimeter of your yard. I don't want to sound alarmist, but if there's water nearby, you may well have coyotes passing through. I have seen them on the USC-Columbia campus in broad daylight ☹️ When he comes home, please get him microchipped. Be sure to register the chip as well, on the chip company's website. If you have a fenced-in yard, consider putting cat-fencing or coyote rollers on the top to keep him in the yard. Or, you could buy or build him a catio. Some people will buy a pre-made chicken coop and "attach" it to their house with access through a window. Good luck <3
