Cat tips... place a piece of dirty clothing outside or her cat bed or blanket so she can smell home. Go outside every 30 minutes calling her name with chicken or tuna they love chicken or tuna heat it up so it smells stronger or shake a bag of treats or tap a can of wet cat food standing in one spot on your property. Please don't leave any food outside. Go outside at night every 30 minutes with a flash light look under cars in wheel wells and under bushes and up trees calling her name softly and listen for her meow. Ask neighbors to look inside their garages sheds and under decks inside car trunks hoods under BBQ covers behind sheds garages and under stairs. Put up posters and flyers in your neighbourhood mailboxes. Ask neighbours to check their camera footage. Leave a bat window open if you can or your garage door open a small amount for her to get back inside. Try to sit near the open door or window so you can secure your baby. People have suggested emptying the contents of your vacuum cleaner on your front and back lawn so she can smell home. They come out at night when it is quiet. Please go to the humane society daily if you can, a lot of cats look alike. Please don't put her litter box outside it will attract other cats and predictors. Many furbaby parents have messaged me saying they found their babies with these tips. Shared with prayers you find your baby. I pray that these cat tips help you find Phoebe

A postal code of location lost would be needed at the very least. NW is large area.

Making posters may help - calling all Veterinary clinics and Animal Rescues and making sure they have your contact information may help. Asking neighbors about feral colonies in the area - maybe she is now part of a colony? Even putting up a insulated cat shelter or two and putting out food and a heated water dish may help. If you see stray cats coming on a regular basis try catching them with a live trap - you can borrow them from the MEOW Foundation or other rescues. That the kitties to a 24 hour Veterinary clinic and they can check them for a mirco chip or tattoo and hopefully find their families. Maybe your kitty might turn up one night - hopefully. I really hope you find her - she's beautiful.

Go out and take her favorite treats and call. Ask your neighbors to check their garages - sheds - under stairs - decks and bushes. She's probably hiding somewhere close and feeling scared and confused. Ask your neighbors to check more than once - cats are very good at hiding. Check at night late when it's quiet as that's when she may feel safer to come out. Put out some of your worn clothes. The scent will help her find home. Go out at night when it's quiet and take her favorite treats. Call her softly and listen for soft meows back - especially near garages and sheds she may have become trapped inside. Take a flashlight and look under bushes and other hiding places for reflective cat eyes. Ask your family and friends to help you make posters and put them up all over your neighborhood - especially near stores and your community center. Call Veterinary clinics and animal shelters in case someone brought her in or called about spotting her. Post on YYC site too - they have a very large following. Don't give up - keep looking especially at night. I hope you find her soon. I'm sharing. Please post in YYC group too. They have a very large following. The more people looking for your kitty the better.

Also look into getting some motion sensor cameras. They will help you see if he is coming around at night. They will let you know what kind of animals are coming into your yard - if there's lots of territorial males chasing other kitties away. Please catch as many strays as possible and take to a 24 hour Veterinary clinic. They can check them for mirco chips or tattoos and hopefully find their families. Or keep them safe until Animal Services can pick them up. It's a win win. Less territorial cats chasing or fighting with your kitty and less cats breeding while homeless. Plus with winter many cats will freeze - starve or be eaten by coyotes or bobcats or hit by cars. I really hope you find your sweetie safe and soon.
