1). If your pet is microchipped, please contact the company right away to report and make sure your contact information is up-to-date 2). File a lost pet report with ACC https://www.nycacc.org/services/lost-found 3). Also on ACC site, using the link above, view pets reported as Found to NYACC. Do this daily as new pets are posted every day Citizen App Nextdoor .com Pawboost .com Neighbor Ring app 4). Contact local precinct to see if anyone reported found dog/cat 5). Hang up flyers in neighborhood. Offer a REWARD, if possible! Don’t give up hope!

Leave your clothes hanging outside! The scent can attract your pet back! Please put up posters around your area. Print regular papers and put them in sheet protectors to make a poster, then post them around the neighborhood. Staple them to telephone poles, tape them to the glass entrances of stores, supermarkets, laundromats, whatever is nearby (get permission first), and whatever else will catch many eyes. If possible, state a money reward on your poster as well. Also share this post to other places such as Facebook, Nextdoor, Pawboost, Ring (neighbors), NYCACC Lost&Found, etc.
