Shared. Post him on Nextdoor asap. File a lost report with the shelter right away. Post flyers in your area, including veterinary offices and pet stores. Check posts of found kitties on Pawboost, he could be on their list any time. Also check other websites, including Pet listings on FB Marketplace, Craigslist and Pennysaver. Good luck

Beautiful cat! If he is an indoor only cat, or new or outside his territory , he is hiding very nearby where he escaped!! So go out and look for him, with a flashlight even during the day. The first instinct for an indoor only cat or cat in a new territory, is to hunker down and hide very near his point of exit with his back against a wall or building. So put out his dirty litter box immediately along with his food and water and any dirty laundry or familiar bedding etc. The scents will keep him nearby. Look under porches, decks, bushes, anywhere he can feel secure . Shake his treats, call his name softly several times a day to reassure him you are nearby. Our daughter's cat hid almost two weeks after she moved from CV to Oakland and the only way we knew she was still nearby is she was seen on security camera coming up to her familiar scent in the wee morning hours when it was quiet. Every time we opened the door she would run off. So we finally had to set a humane cat trap to catch her and we caught her within two hours. So spread the word to neighbors by putting flyers on their porches asking them to please check their property for your kitty in case he slipped over the fence. Keep ears and eyes open, especially in the wee morning hours. If he does not come out and continues to hide, set a humane cat trap near his food and litter box station. But first try leaving the door open with food inside and make it easy to get back in for him, like putting a ladder or chair outside so he can easily jump back inside. Post on Nextdoor and file a lost report with the shelter and microchip company and make sure contact info is current. You will find your pretty kitty. Don't stop looking. Best of luck to you.
