Chris Sanchez yes if you can hold onto him until you find the owners it would be best! BUT in the event that doesn't happen, there's laws surrounding rehoming a dog that is found. You can actually place a first hold on the dog and adopt the day it's available or send to a rescue. I can tell you from experience that we searched DAILY for a smaller dog (not even puppy) to adopt for over 7 months before we finally got lucky... they get ADOPTED SUPER QUICK!
