MESSAGE FROM OWNER

Our baby Newt (Newton), in orange and white, neutered, chunky, sweet, personable kitty with an orange mark on the left side of his nose disappeared this morning near 71st Ave. and just south of cactus. He does not leave our yard so it is the most likely that he was picked up or purposely displaced. He is incredibly friendly and trusting, unfortunately in this regard. He is severely missed by his family. Please keep an eye out and contact me with any information!

This pretty cat has been hanging around our neighborhood (off 79th Ave and up Jenan Dr.) & has been frequently spotted in the nearby streets and houses. I had called the owner months ago, identified the markings and explained where he was hanging out. The poor cat just came around again, has grown up, but looks emaciated and actually looks sick and dying. Why hasn't he been taken care of, after the owner was notified, only to tell me, " Well, he wanders." This level of total neglect is heartbreaking to see, amd I hope some rescue can come atound the neighborhood to save him. I already took it upon myself to TNR two cats, and have rescued and taken in their three kittens, spending a lot on getting them fixed and vaccinated. I'll be keeping the kittens inside, and they're healthy, but if Newt is also carrying something, other pets ( dogs & cats) could be exposed. This missing cat does try to get friendly, but I can't handle more than I have. I already own two other indoor cats and two dogs, in addition to those I just rescued.
