Daniel Gudrun Beilfuss it's literally a block an a half away from the hwy so yes it is near blackcanyon hwy. Regardless of someone feeling bad they don't have the right to give away somebody's dog to a stranger when they're actively looking for them on a daily basis, shelters are there to help prevent animals being taken an stolen in this way and she shouldn't have given Potato away like that.

The Humane Society is really not anywhere near Black Canyon Highway, better known as I-17. The Maricopa County Shelter on Durango and South 27th Avenue, is much closer to the Highway. Animals are passed around frequently in front. One reason, they don’t accept intakes without an appointment. Another, sometimes someone sees a pup and just feels real bad that it has to go to the pound and is willing to take it. Getting any info from either location is a long shot.

Barbara Maxwell He was supposedly given to a stranger at the black Canyon highway humane society. I'm not sure why she gave him to a stranger instead of just giving him to the humane society. The stranger claimed that they would post him online and try to find his owner but I have literally been looking on every site and drive-in my old neighborhood on a regular basis looking for him. All my neighbors have been looking for him. He is very much missed And loved.

Barbara Maxwell The lady claimed that she gave him to a complete stranger at the humane society that had just lost their dog. Other than that she didn't have any information on the stranger and she did not leave any information or give any information to the humane society. I will be going to the humane society 1st thing in the morning to see if they have any info or saw the incident
