💖🐱Dear guardian - my heart breaks for you...I re-read your original post and wonder why you think someone stole your sweet baby...the reason why is because in many of the cases where a guardian was convicned kitty was stolen ie becauase they didn't put a camera out in front of food to lure kitty from hiding - indoor only or shy cats will HIDE AND HIDE trying to survive - very near to home. We must cover ALL possibilities in the case that your baby was not stolen and instead got out somehow...Please remain hopeful and continue to take action. Just this morning, Lost cat Neo was reunited ( posted on pawboost) after missing for months...if you haven't already, I emplore you to Place A MOTION ACTIVATED CAMERA with night vision aimed at the WET food + water you are leaving out every morning and evening...There have been so many cases, where lost cat guardians are ready to give up THEY they finally use a camera and after some days or a week they finally Spot their cat on CAMERA - after being 'gone' for weeks months...then we work to keep kitty returning the the food source so we can humanely and safety TRAP kitty because lost cats remain near and in survival mode and will hide from all humans even from the human they know and love ...(though cats return to their normal selves once back inside at home). I didn't know about using night vision cameras for the 1st year I was helping people find their cats and now I use it in EVERY case - it's a HUGE game changer. 💜🐱 REPLACE FLYERS posted up and place new flyers inside 'clear sheet protectors' so weather doesnt' ruin them. I also highly advise going door to door to talk to neighbors again who COULD spot her! 💥 WiFI Camera with night vision example: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07Z841XYD... 💥 WIldlife camera wifi not needed / eight AA batteries: You have to manually check footage: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B099F54JJ4... 🐱💜ANOTHER IDEA: POSTCARD Delivery service: https://lostpetcards.com/ - this family owned company will send Lost Cat Postcard (with photo and info) to the closest 1000 residents from where kitty escaped - this is an extremely efficient way to make sure your neighbors are aware your cat is missing - and your contact info is readily available if they spot kitty.💜🐱 I've used this service 3 times so far and always happy I did: https://lostpetcards.com/ . It’s pricey but worth it. I paid for this mailing service for a cat already missing for weeks after getting lost the same day kitty was rehomed and I needed to spread the word to neighbors as quickly as possible as I came onto the case late - weeks after kitty was already missing. Someone spotted her after a week, because he received a postcard!. We received several calls …some were false sightings so it’s important to include on the postcard “Please take a photo and call if you THINK you see my cat..(Please do not approach kitty - call me!) The other 2 times I used the service I received sightings within 2 weeks, one kitty was found within the block (and I’d already flyered door to door on the block) The way it works is you submit a form online https://lostpetcards.com/ then they will email you asking to confirm informatino, then they will send you a draft postcard and show you the zone that USPS will cover based on original location (they’ll show you on a map) 2 days later POSTCARDS will be delivered to the nearest 1000 neighbors, including apts and businesses (1000 is the minimum) at the cost is $650 – be sure to include much of the same wording asking neighbors to check garages, sheds, crawl spaces, trees etc and offering a reward for a PHOTO of your kitty - similar wording to the FLYER TEMPLATES you can download below (www.happycatlady.com). 💜🐱🙏 CLICK →LOST (FRIENDLY) CAT FLYER- TEMPLATE https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ohg8MW56MKlrZbBsddIW75Vl6QICG93f/edit?usp=sharing&ouid=102845077284118854428&rtpof=true&sd=true CLICK →LOST (SHY) CAT FLYER - TEMPLATE https://docs.google.com/document/d/1_2RMxuyBX96lj8ajAVs-1oNwLiXGtvlr/edit?usp=sharing&ouid=102845077284118854428&rtpof=true&sd=true 💜🐱Wishing you LOVE and HOPE and unwavering DETERMINATION💜🐱

So glad you are not giving up on your sweet baby and, Im so sorry you haven't found her yet...Please call and visit SFACC in case someone trapped her and brought her to the shelter . THough chances are she's been hiding from humans as best she can. Can you call me 650-339-6619 or reply here re: why she might be in so many different places ? I want to better understand how she was lost , If you think she could be in any 3 locations then it is imperative that you Buy 3 cameras and get them each aimed at wet food and water that you leave at each location AM and PM (not in view of humans)...if there is wifi or no wifi here are the 2 different cameras I own and use and loan out to folks...Call me I can guide you on this - i'm using the same cameras right not to spot a lost cat from an owner who moved - hoping to catch him on camera in the next week/s and then once spotted I will use a humane trap to do a STAKEOUT where I watch all night and make sure the right kitty goes into the trap...but that's once kitty is spotted. People tend to ignore shy black cats (it's such a shame becuase they are the most loving creatures - I have a shy street cat and I know if she were lost I WOULD havae to find her - no one would find her) My heart aches for you and i hope you can print and post up new flyers inside 'clear sheet protectors' to ensure they don't get ruined by weather..... 💥WiFI Camera with night vision example: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07Z841XYD... 💥WIldlife camera wifi not needed / eight AA batteries: You have to manually check footage: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B099F54JJ4...

💖🐱Dear guardian 💖🐱 Cats will remain for months and months doing their best to survive…don’t give up on your furry baby - we are all praying for you...don't give up...Replace worn flyers and Put up more flyers a few blocks out in all direction ...I encourage you to talk to your neighbors AGAIN to remind them your kitty is still missing and that you need their help to keep an eye out and ask a neighbor to report your kitty is lost on the RING camera network... Every morning I get texts from people who find their cats while calling for them after 10pm at night..please continue to call for your cat and/or make that noise that kitty is familiar with whether it's keys jingling or treat bag crinkles or simply your calm voice ...it may seem hopeless to do this but I am telling you everything you do helps! cover all possibilities: Check nearby shelters ONLINE DAILY and IN PERSON weekly (some cats are NOT posted online at the shelters!) Deliver updated flyers to each residence starting with your block and expanding outward 2 blocks in all directions...Continue to use your motion activated wifi camera pointed at wet food and water bowl daily. If you don't have one - I emplore you to get one and put out food/water every day... So many cases guardians are ready to give up then they finally put the camera out there (whether wifi to your phone or WILD LIFE camera with batteries no wifi) and after some days or a week they will Spot their cat - after being gone for weeks or months...spotting kitty eating the food changes everything and so many people discover this with the camera - then sometime they have to TRAP their cat because kitty is in survival mode and hides even from their guardian...cats are survivors and once they are back inside at home, they go back to being sweet cozy loving kitty. I didn't know about using cameras 1st year I was helping people and now I use it in every case (for disabled or seniors who can't walk around) it's a HUGE help and again this is to cover all possibilities... FLYERS all over the neighborhood and going door to door to talk to neighbors is KEY in spreading the word to the exact people who COULD spot her! Wishing you LOVE and HOPE and unwavering DETERMINATION🐱🐱🙏💖

💥WARNING💥New Scam Alert💥. Scammers will text you saying they’re affiliated with Pawboost and that they HAVE YOUR CAT and that YOU need to PROVE who you are by giving other phone numbers, your email, verifying google codes etc . These are all SCAMMERS - they may tell you to meet them somewhere BUT THEY WON'T Send you a PHOTO of your cat (they'll make up any excuse) Tell them you know they are scammers and to stop! Please Trust that If a neighbor sees or has your cat they will give you info freely and not play any strange ‘prove you are the owner of kitty’ games… Here are 2 recent SCAM texts I received click -> https://drive.google.com/file/d/1fXZaisdpT9AAnYg38Sr4WILds0ewC5KU/view?usp=sharing

🐱💖🙏 Dear Guardian .....DON’T LOSE HOPE. 'Lost cat' JiJi was found after being lost for 4 MONTHS! Cats don't go far they remain near......Continue to call for kitty - ESPECIALLY at night 10pm-6am..set your alarm for 11pm, 2am, 5am ...walk around the block and call for kitty ... If your neighborhood isn't already plastered with flyers , PRINT more flyers and add or replace flyers - IMPORTANT: knock on neighbors doors AGAIN and REMIND them that your sweet kitty is still missing and ask them to check around especially at night especially..ask neighbors with RING cameras to check the footage in case kitty is spotted...whatever you do, do NOT lost hope...keep searching and spreading the word with your neighbors door to door - they need to be reminded kitty is still out there and many many cats are found long after they are lost - we are still early in this… **IMPORTANT** PLACE A CAMERA (motion activated with night vision) aimed at WET food in bowl every day and night. ( you can buy amazon) ..OFTEN cats remain near but are in such survival mode - they will even act scared of their human's voice and won't come inside and need to be coaxed...Lost cat 'Luna' was spotted on camera after being 'lost' for several weeks, her human was shocked to learn Luna was visiting the backyard regularly late night and would come back inside (she was leaving the backdoor open for her) We thought she was stuck at a neighbors which happens all the time...and it was the help of the camera which helped her human learn about the different cats that would visit and other animals...she eventually spotted her 'live' in her backyard (she did a stake out just inside with a baby monitor) and was able to lure her back inside with food after several hours late night. I'm not saying this is your situation ...I'm saying that you can't rule anything out… WiFI Camera with night vision example https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07Z841XYD?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_dp_TXPMEVSKHVVCW2PBGK0C listening to a podcast re; finding lost cats (episode 450 on 'The Community Cats podcast) and their advice about taking action right away and consistently....and along with late night/early morning calling out etc is getting permission from each neighbor near you to physically go into their yards to search and call for kitty (by yourself) to search under porches and anywhere they can possibly hide! Studies have proven Indoor cats remain near HIDING IN SILENCE and are mostly found within a few houses away from escape point and outdoor/indoor cats mostly within a 1 block radius...indoor cats that area scared remain near and in hiding until threshhold of hunger will make them come out of hiding to look for food though they will still continue to hide from humans...so it's important for their human to search daily/nightly and not to give up no matter what. They mentioned that sometimes when cats aren't coming back they may be ill and need medical attention so taking action to actively search in neighbors property is so important They also say that cat owners give up way too soon and cats end up at the shelter months down the road by getting trapped by a caring person - and those cats are NOT reclaimed because owners stop checking the shelters... GAIN ACCESS TO NEIGHBORS YARDS: Knock on your neighbors doors in ALL directions to ask for permission to check yards and around the premises so YOU can call for kitty today and tonight and early morning...scared cats will NOT come forward right away and they are excellent hiders! You have to keep trying this and explain to neighbors that cats protect themselves by hiding - even from their guardian - until THEY feel safe to come forward.... Check SFACC in person every 4 days🙏🙏they dont' show all their 'processed' cats online... (Borrowed the following from a caring neighbor Kaz on Nextdoor): In addition to what you're doing keep checking Animal Care & Control’s photo inventory of found cats in case someone has found the cat and turned it in. https://www.sfanimalcare.org/stray-found-cats/ Also, make sure that the cat’s microchip information is up-to-date. If you don’t have the cat’s microchip number, check with your vet who should have it in the cat’s records. In addition to updating wherever your cat’s chip was originally registered (or even if you don’t remember where you originally registered the chip), register your cat at the free Found Animals chip registry, https://www.foundanimals.org/microchip-registry/owners and the free pet chip registry, https://www.freepetchipregistry.com/ with your current contact information in order to increase the chances that if your cat is picked up, they can contact you. (I say increase the chances because sadly there are multiple databases for different chips and they are not all interconnected.) We had a sad story on Nextdoor about a lost cat ‘Gonzo’, who was found by ACC, but because the chip linked to outdated information, ACC couldn’t reach the owner, and they ultimately euthanized him because of medical issues. Sending you HOPE, LOVE and continued determination and perseverance damia (www.happycatlady com)🐱💖🙏
