they HIDE all day and come out at night when quiet in the middle of the night due to extreme FEAR. SHINE flashlight in bushes and hiding spots at night to reflect his eyes. cats never forget where they live, he may come home leave garage open six inches overnights and he may appear in there.... keep hope, it may take a while...

CATS: THEY DO NOT GO FAR…If possible, open garage door six inches and leave it open overnights. They are terrified and hide ALL day and have no way of getting inside in the middle of the night when they feel safer.......it works 99.9 percent of the time. Another trick is to shine a flashlight when it is completely dark AND LATE, light reflects in their eyes REAL WELL, easy to spot in the bushes and far away, try it…AS well as quietly calling their name in the wee hours of the night and they may come out of hiding…..don't give up 😉 ALSO….in the middle of the night or if you get home late, and it is super quiet, call her name softly and sit on the front steps and wait a few minutes, try this all the time, you never know..... they are mostly always scared and hiding until the world is asleep, they hunt to eat and drink at night and not during the day....
