Tammy, you and your husband are doing everything right.
Yoshi is hiding closer than you think!
Make sure to keep looking in YOUR YARD at night with a flashlight. He is very scared and hiding very close… most likely in YOUR OWN YARD. Yoshi will stay hiding and not want to be seen by anyone or anything. Look up in the trees and UNDER EVERYTHING and inside any small openings. You'd be surprised at what tiny openings they can squeeze into and under.
Before I knew about all these tips I posted above… my cat was missing for 2 weeks until I finally found her. She was too scared to respond to my calls and I realized she was not coming back on her own, so I knew I had to go out and physically look for her. I wasted most of those days looking around my neighborhood instead of MY OWN YARD!!! The way I found her was with a flashlight at night. She had been hiding under my shed the entire time. I looked under that shed TWICE during the daytime and could not see her. The third time I looked was at night with a flashlight and there were her eyes glowing back at me!
Yoshi is really scared and has found a good hiding spot very close to where he escaped. He is so close… he’s probably watching you, but is too scared to come out or respond to your calls.
