Here is some tips for your fur baby:
Put an item of your clothing by the door it escaped from. Your scent will draw them.home. Go out at 3am when it is quiet, with a plastic cup with dry food in it..shake the cup calling kittys name..stop and listen for a faint meow, go towards it. Bring a flashlight to shine in dark areas looking for eye refractions of kitty. Also take a few treats too. May need them to lure kitty out from hiding. Or even a can of wet food. May take a couple of days. Kitties are scared and will honker down and hide in silence. Do not give up. Took me 35 days to get my kitty back. 6 days of him just refusing to come inside again. Was under my neighbor's house. Check crawl spaces, garages, sheds, yours and with neighbors. On a darker note, if it is a coyote or bird of prey, there will be evidence of the attack. They normally leave body parts behind. Ask neighbors and gardeners if any remains were found recently. Normally it is within a couple of houses where the animal was caught. They generally do not go far with kills. At least you can have closure. I hope you find your baby. Good luck.
