Julissa Benavides Martinez , VERY IMPORTANT INFO HERE. To find a lost dog: Report him/her as lost to @Fulton County Animal Services. Go to animal control (IN PERSON) every single day if and when they are open to the public. Calling isn’t good enough because they can be overlooked or entered into the system incorrectly. When you can go in person make sure to ask to see pictures of all dogs isolation and quarantine areas. If you don’t ask, they don’t get shown a lot of the time. Post on NextDoor, Georgia’s Missing Pets (on FB), LostDogsGeorgia, FindingRover, HelpingLostPets, and LostMyDoggie. They’re all good sites to help you. Post LARGE NEON signs on poster board covered with packaging tape all around the area, with a picture and contact info, as well as posting on Lost/Found pet pages in surrounding counties in case he roams. Email local vets with his/her picture and your contact info in case anyone brings him in to be scanned or because he’s injured. And also put a large neon sign with his pic and your contact info on the inside window of your car so it can act as a mobile billboard, even if the contact info is just an email address created for this sole purpose. Good luck! **Also put some of your belongings with your scent on them out, along with some of his to help him hopefully catch the scent and follow it home. Leave access in, preferably from the way he left. Dogs sometimes come home, often times at night, when the traffic and commotion of the day has died down and then leave again if they can’t gain access. If there’s any natural water sources nearby check there and check there often. Lost dogs look for water out of instinct.
