Merle Wand Armenta he is most definately terrified , in survival mode, HIDING...prayfully not injured. I pray he got out at the 1st long stop light...but he may have gotten out at the 1st STOP listed as Hayward...I think they should go to that location tonight and call for him calmly from the exact location the truck was parked and remain there for at least an hour AFTER DARK and leave wet food bowl (NO DRY FOOD attracts raccoons) and water and get a battery operated camera aimed at the food bowl (MOAT to prevent ants) and then check the camera footage in the AM to see WHO ate the food...🙏 gotta lure him to food .I often use battery operated cameras to aim at food in remote locations in order to spot the cat going to the food THEN once sighted - doing a stake out with a trap. I'm unclear if they found the collar and tracker IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT or at one of the STOPS listed....🙏

I'm so sorry this happened. The tracker was found INSIDE the engine compartment ? Is this your truck? was the truck parked next to your house initially in Los Altos? Does the engine compartment get HOT? I would imagine he jumped out sooner than later ..most likley at a LONG stop light maybe? Do you know where the 1st long light occurred? I would go there TONIGHT and calmly calmly calmly call for him and bring food and water bowls to stash under a bush He is TERRIFIED and hiding no matter where he got out - once sighted - you may have to humanely trap him from that 'foreign' location. Yes even friendly confident indoor outdoor cats - once they get spooked / find themselves in a new location - they HIDE from everyone - in survival mode. I would highly suggest to buy 2 battery operated camera to aim at the wet food bowl/s (put bowl within a bowl with water in the outer bowl to prevent ants) you place in 2 locations. It's worth trying... Wet food bowl with camera aimed at the 1st long light and at the 1st STOP in Hayward.... 💓 MAKE HUGE NEON POSTERS and /or a BILLBOARD To increase the chances that a neighbors calls for any possible sighting 💓 NEON POSTERS near the 1st busy intersection where the truck stopped for a long light and at the 1st STOP in Hayward... 💓 BILLBOARD Make a HUGE BillBoard using a TARP, duct tape and Blown up photo of kitty (kinkos or fedex) - to tie up either by freeway entrance or exit or if not near freeeway then at the busiest intersection near you to ensure everyone in the neighborhood is aware to call you upon sighting. 💓 Tip: Print 16”x20” of clear full body photo of your cat (crop the photo to remove as much background so it’s just your cat) Fedex Print stores charges $11 for one color copy, available overnight. Or will tell you about a (FAKE) INSTAGRAM Pet recovery service they used - they are SCAMMERS SCAMMERS will text you saying they’re affiliated with Pawboost or an ANIMAL SHELTER and that they or their husband HAS YOUR CAT and that YOU need to PROVE who you are by giving other phone numbers, your email, verifying google codes etc or to send money to get your cat from the shelter. These are all SCAMMERS! THEY WON'T Send you a PHOTO of your cat (they'll make up any excuse) OR THEY'LL SEND a PHOTO of a similar cat - or a blurry video - but it’s not your cat! Look closely.
