F.Y.I. I 👍Having your animal chipped is sssssooo important! Even if someone else takes him in thinking he's discarded or whatever, once he goes to a vet, the scan will let them know who his owner is. If your vet doesn't do it for you, like our vet does, make sure you go on line to actually REGISTER the chip in your name, address, etc. Otherwise the chip only comes back as to where the chip was inserted, not to who owns the animal. I have a foster cat that was left behind when the owner moved out of state. I had to find out if she was chipped, or not, so that information can be updated when she goes to a new home. She wasn't. All my cats are chipped even through they are 100% indoor cats. Accidents happen, this ensures me that they can always be returned to me. Name tags are great, but collars can be lost/removed.
