DESCRIPTION

It's been 3 months to the day and Miles is still missing. He was missing before and came over a day later. I have posted other places and on Facebook, but am reaching out again. He is Micro Chipped, is friendly and likes to talk. He was on medication for his heart so I have no idea how that may have affected him at this point. Keeping hope!

From website of Luzerne County SPCA: If you have lost a pet please follow these very important steps: Call or visit the SPCA immediately 570-825-4111 or fill-out our online Lost/Found Report and include a photo of your pet. Time is crucial – never hesitate to call us the moment you believe you have lost your pet. If you get our voice mail leave a message with the best number at which to reach you. We will return your call. Notify your neighbors, especially those who may not know you have a pet. Call your veterinarian and surrounding veterinarians in case your pet was found injured and taken to a local veterinarian for care. Make signs with a picture if possible and post them at local businesses and throughout your neighborhood. Contact the SPCA if and when your pet is found. https://www.facebook.com/LuzerneCountyPetRecoveryServices/

Ask someone if they have a drone (possibly heat/thermal for night vision) to have them use it to find your cat and if your cat fits the description ask if you can view their video tapes to see if it's her. Post in newspaper bc not everyone has internet or facebook, ask if you can air on your local news channel, ask your neighbors if they can check security cameras to see if she's on the recording to see where she headed last. Put fliers on the 2 back windows of your vehicle.

Put up fliers on all poles, post offices, vet offices, stores, gyms, anywhere you can think of and in mailboxes in the area. Go door to door to let people know the cat is missing. Go in person to local shelters (Luzerne County SPCA, etc) and do not rely on phone calls because they are busy and might not check. Put out the used litter box and some of your worn unwashed clothing and a bed or blanket he sleeps on so he can track the scent. Check under all neighborhood decks, porches, sheds and ask people to check inside their sheds and garages. Also check under and around all landscaping (shrubs, bushes, flower beds, etc.) in the neighborhood. Let the area mailman know to keep an eye out for him. Go out at night with the flashlight calling his name and shaking food or treats. Borrow a humane trap from a shelter, rescue group, vet, etc. Fill it with smelly food like KFC rotisserie chicken, sardines or tuna and cover it with a blanket or towel. If she is microchipped contact the company immediately to be sure your contact information is up to date. They may also help with creating fliers, etc. Go in person to local vets to inquire if someone may have brought her in. Post on Pawboost Alert. Also on Nextdoor for your town.
