Action To Take If You Lose a Dog
IMPORTANT: Make sure you leave access open for your dog to return (plus smelly food and something that smells like the owner like dirty laundry)...the dog may return at dusk.
1. Post pet info, plus your contact info on social media: (careful of SCAMS)
A. Post a sign in front of your house/appt.
B. East County pets
C. Craigslist
D. Nextdoor (your local zip, on Internet)
E. Pawboost (Payment option may be bypassed)
F. Check and post on the web page, lost dogs san diego
G. Facebook pages (careful of scams like drones etc)
2. Check local shelters, in person, Bonita, Carlsbad, Mission Valley, Oceanside, Escondido, El Cajon and Chula Vista
Check and web sites:

3. Put up posters in the vicinity, at every intersection, NSEW.
4. Post pic on PetCo Love Lost App
5. Post on 24 petconnect (.com) and finding rover

7. Use the Neighbors app by Ring doorbell and the Citizen app.
8. Check the places you usually go, parks, walks, trails.
9. Double check your microchip info is up to date.
