Lost cat 'Secret" was just found after 40 nightws - FLYERS and FLYERS and huge neon flyer - all contributed..a neighbor spotted secret and saw the flyer...don't give up and don't rely on online - especially with a solid gorgeous black cat - you must FLYER your ex's neighborhood and especially FLYERS door to door...knocking on doors asking folks if they've seen a black cat in the last few months and to keep a FEEDING station with camera aimed - whether wifi or battery operated - Cats go to food...this is how we are able to trap many scared cats - gettgin them to go to 1 food source then catching them on camera then setting a stake out with a trap. I will also suggest this family owned company: https://lostpetcards.com/ I've used the 3 times with success - it's $650 for 1000 postcards (good quality) delivered to every residence near you - 1st 1000. Also ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œPLACE COOL Water bowls (METAL BOWLS) around your and near your EX's residence front and back in the shade for your kitty and any thirsty kitty๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ water bowls can go anywhere in the shade. WET FOOD must be placed out of human view (and also in the shade ) where you can aim a wild life camera or wifi camera..this is how I found a cat missing 2 months..I kept refreshing the wet food and water every night and checked the camera in the morning- after 3 weeks of doing this - the cat appeared!!!! then I trapped - that took 2 more nights..don't stop taking action in person - that is key - especially with a black cat. Lost cat cheecho was found by guardian afer a month of flyering 30 blocks _ yes this guardian took it to antoher level of flyering...her cat was indoor/outdoor and she went to MANY false lost black cat sightings - she would go there at night or early mornign with wet food and wait...each one was not her cat until 2 more weeks and this time the photo someoen provided gave her hope - her black cat has fluffy tail..she waited for 4 hours in someone's backyard a few blocks away and was able to lure "Cheecho" with wet food ....Cheecho's guardian Maria was not going to give up and though she started a new job and had no car, she walked adn flyered every day and took uber to false sighting locations no matter what time...when you talk to neighbors remind them to also keep a water bowl outside front and back for any thirsty cat โค๏ธ Hang in there..remain positive ..very sorry for all the worry and stress

I'm so sorry...I just learned about this idea from another cat finding expert: ๐Ÿ’“ MAKE A HUGE NEON POSTERs and a BILLBOARD To get a sighting! ๐Ÿ’“ NEON POSTERS r In front of your home and near a busy intersection everyone tends to drive by in your neighborhood. the guardian of lost cat โ€˜Claudeโ€™ created 2 of these HUGE NEON POSTERS - 1 was placed in front of her residence and the other was placed at the nearest busy intersection...a neighbor noticed the poster and then spotted kitty a few days later and called the guardian. ๐Ÿ’“ BILLBOARD Make a HUGE BillBoard using a TARP, duct tape and Blown up photo of kitty (kinkos or fedex) - to tie up either by freeway entrance or exit or if not near freeeway then at the busiest intersection near you to ensure everyone in the neighborhood is aware to call you upon sighting. ๐Ÿ’“ Tip: Print 16โ€x20โ€ of clear full body photo of your cat (crop the photo to remove as much background so itโ€™s just your cat) Fedex Print stores charges $11 for one color copy, available overnight. Cut out your cat and glue/tape to each huge neon sign and for the Billboard. Certain supplies like NEON paper and Tarp and duct tape for letters have been found at the Dollar store try there first.

I'm so sorry about what happened. and glad you're not giving up. Dear guardian, please do not rely on online only. This would be a. mistake. Black cats are often ignored and there are many on each block. You must take action in person when you can every day/night. ASIDE from plastering the ex's block and many blocks further out in all directions with FLYERS on every Lamppost(both sides) you must also go door to door adhering flyers directly to every residence (tape onto front doors using painter's tape) , IMPORTANT: Talk to neighbors and find 1 or 2 cat loving neighbors on the block of your ex's to help you lure kitty via daily FOOD. bowl of wet food and water with a CAMERA AIMED ( WIFI mini blink or a battery operated Wild life camera) and to replace the food every night and then you manually check the camera daily (if it's the battery operated wild life) or the neighbor checks phone notifications for any movement the night before. This is how we have found countless cats that were already lost for long periods of time. I know you're not sure how long kitty was lost..and maybe you can get a better answer if you can ask again ...Intensive flyering is KEY for several blocks out in all directions from where he got out . I'm praying you might be able to have one of his kids help you with saving your kitties life. But if you cannot involve them at all, then find a neighbor on the block and 1 block over..I did this when lost cat Ninha's human died and he was outside all alone..it was already a month in when i learned of the case and it took 2 months to catch him on camera ....71 days before he was spotted - now he is in his new furever home. I had to replace FLYERS that got torn down..andn I would print mini flyers to tape to front doors or onto mailboxes 1 block at a time (kept track on a printed maps from google to make sure every resident within 1/2 received a mini flyer or could see a full page flyer on the street. I would also consider making some HUGE posters on NEON - something that wil llast and BE SEEN from people driving by. Yes you will get some false sightings as it can be hard for neighbors to know the difference of black cats - so know you will receive phone calls and you must investigate each one...๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ™

If he is microchipped, Make sure his microchip is registered with your contact info - you can do this online or by calling the chip company - you can enter the chip company on the https://www.aaha.org/your-pet/pet-microchip-lookup/microchip-search/ . if you don't know what the chip number is contact where you adopted kitty.๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ™

๐Ÿ’–๐ŸฑDear guardian ๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿฑ My heart breaks for you. You mustn't give up or stop taking action. 'Lost cat' JiJi was found after being lost for 7 MONTHS! Cats will remain for months and months where they were displaced/lost doing their best to surviveโ€ฆdonโ€™t give up the search on your furry baby - we are all praying for you...people often ignore black cats they see in their neighborhood assuming kitty is indoor/outdoor ..you must ...REPLACE worn out flyers where kitty was let out from your ex's and POST UP more flyers a few blocks out in ALL directions ...Your kitty is in survival mode and hiding from humans though hunger brings kitty out...you must talk to those neighbors who live 1-2 blocks from your ex's. That means going door to door with FLYERS (mini flyers to save $) If not home, tape the mini flyer to the door using painter's tape. let neighbors know he has been lost for several months and to take a photo and call you if they see a black cat. You will get some falks leads but 1 sighting COULD be him. This just happened a few days ago with lost cat Cheecho (reunited last night) he was sighted all over town (false sightings) becuase the guardian posted flyers ALL over San Francisco - he ended up being 2 blocks away and she had to trap him in someone's backyard using a humane trap. I strongly encourage you to talk to your the neighbors who live on your ex's block and 1 -2 blocks out AGAIN to remind them your kitty is still missing and that you need their help to keep an eye out and ask a neighbor to report your kitty is lost on the RING camera network... Every morning I get texts from people who find their cats while calling for them after 10pm at night though some cats HIDE from their guardians (too scared in general) ..please continue to call for your cat early morning or at night and if your ex won't leave wet food and water for kitty daily THEN find a neighbor there that will place food and water in bowls (food that you supply) and get a camera aimed to the food - you want to be able to verify who is eating the food...it may seem hopeless to do this but I am telling you everything you do helps! cover all possibilities: Check nearby shelters ONLINE DAILY and IN PERSON weekly (some cats are NOT posted online at the shelters!) Deliver updated flyers to each residence starting with your block and expanding outward 2 blocks in all directions... If you don't have one - I gently emplore you to get one (the $35 mini blink - the black one on amazon works great) and put out food/water every day... So many cases guardians are ready to give up then they finally put the camera out there (whether wifi to your phone or WILD LIFE camera with batteries no wifi) and after weeks and months they will FINALLY Spot their cat !!!- after being gone for months...spotting kitty eating the food changes everything and so many people discover this with the camera - then sometime they have to TRAP their cat because kitty is in survival mode and hides even from their guardian...cats are survivors and once they are back inside at home, they go back to being sweet cozy loving kitty. I didn't know about using cameras 1st year I was helping people and now I use it in every case (for disabled or seniors who can't walk around) it's a HUGE help and again this is to cover all possibilities... FLYERS all over the neighborhood and going door to door to talk to neighbors is KEY in spreading the word to the exact people who COULD spot kitty! Sending you LOVE, HOPE and unwavering DETERMINATION ๐Ÿฑ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’– damia
