Thank you for helping this dog and keeping him safe while looking for owner.. any vet or Petco will scan for microchip and it's Free... maybe you could put the dog on a lease and walk the dog around your neighborhood... is always a good idea. Someone might recognize him. Also post on your neighborhood app. Nextdoor. Many people use it to post lost and found pets. Make sure anyone claiming that the dog is theirs. Shows u proof like vet records and photos plus their address too... also how their dog went missing. Thanks for caring and keeping the dog Safe and Secure off the dangerous streets. If you could post some flyers around where the dog was found and bring one to the shelter to post on their lost and found board Incase owner goes there looking. Post on lostmydoggie.com. They well not only send flyers to local vet hospitals but to local shelters as well. That's a very good site to post on for that reason
