Please help me find Polly Gray. If you know someone that has found a pet please ask them to take to the vet asap to return it to the owner. It is so painful for my family to lose her. Like a child that is lost we would return them to their parents. If anyone sees her please send me a picture. It may help me get her back. Please help other people when we find pets roaming the neighborhood to take a quick photo and alert the neighbors. Begin to recognize your neighbors pets in case they are frequently roaming. My Polly traveled with me each weekend to see my grandchildren. I know it isn’t something we feel until we lose our pets. I believe in the microchip process. It only works if everyone is on alert to protect pets that are rehomed without finding their owners. Veterinarians have to help owners by verifying all pets that are getting vaccinated. Can you imagine if pets were over vaccinated? Groomers can help too by verifying ownership. Everyone needs to participate in a positive solution. There are so many animals that need s or foster parents. There are so many organizations trying to help. I really appreciate all of the support and suggestions from my neighbors and shelters and city officials. When people lose pets like this they sometimes won’t take another chance. The pain is too great. The loophole is too large. We need publicity to help everyone understand the importance of the microchip and the need to take a pet to the vet to get the microchip scan as soon as possible. It’s not fair to anyone to keep someone else’s pet. Before adopting a pet take a microchip scanner with you and verify it doesn’t belong to someone else. My friend told me their family lost a dog and it ran away from several owners for two years before someone finally took it in to get a microchip scan and they got their dog back. Please remember Polly. I check the Dallas Animal Shelter daily even though I know they will verify the ownership first looking for the microchip. All shelters and vets and groomers and Pet Smarts and Petcos should be doing this to close in the gaps. If you have ever found a pet and you did not take to a vet and ask them to check it for a microchip, Please Do This. It’s the right thing to do. You probably didn’t because you were just unaware of the pain and problem it is. Like stealing a child from a family, it hurts. Maybe my Polly is just running away too from owner to owner. I hope you see her. I really miss her. I have faith and I pray I have said something to anyone reading that will make a difference in a positive way to our community. We love our Polly Gray!!!! We need her !!

Shih Tzu mix with Yorkie and Chihuahua. She weighs about 9 lbs. She is white with some grey on her back like a Yorkie. She has a pink tummy, pale hazel eyes, pink nose, and pink lips. She has long legs like a Chihuahua and long hair on her legs and tail, which curls up high when she’s happy and walking. She is microchipped. Please take her to a vet asap!
