Jane Pezzino · 15h · Black cat with collar... this thin black kitty comes to our yard to eat a few nights a week I believe he is wearing either a lite blue or white collar - I would very much like him to be reunited with his owner It's not a great photo He or she will not let me near him - if you are missing a black cat, possibly this is the one

Cats don't usually go far from home. Put some clothing outside that the cat likes to lay on as well as something of yours. Check with the neighbors to see if the cat might be in their garage or shed. Walk around the area, early morning or late evening are best, calling the cats name and take some food with you in case you see or hear the cat. Post pictures of the cat around the area and on the Nextdoor app. Also, check the shelters, Craigslist and newspaper.

Call him from your house. Call often day and night, call early in the morning like 4 when the world is quiet, listen for him if he's trapped in a shed or garage. Take a flashlight and look under shrubs and cars, don't go out alone. Put something that smells like you by your doors, worn socks work great. Keep calling
