Coyotes are all over the state (I've seen them on the USC Columbia campus in broad daylight), and a kitten his size is a meal for an owl or a hawk 😞 Also, male kittens can mature at about six months of age, and if there's a female in heat somewhere, he might have gone to find her. Unneutered tomcats can travel up to 5 miles for a female in heat ☹️ (and female kittens can go into heat as young as 3.5 months of age) If you haven't already, put up flyers everywhere as many people aren't on social media. Since he's not microchipped or neutered, give flyers to every vet clinic, rescue, and shelter in the area in case he turns up. Ask all of them about any local TNR groups and community cat feeders, and give them flyers, too. Ask your neighbors to check their cameras. Look up in trees in case he was chased. Go out in the wee hours with a flashlight and look for glowing eyes. When he comes home, please get him neutered and microchipped and keep him inside 😞 Good luck ❤️
