Thank you for keeping him safe inside while looking for the owner. It's too hot and not safe to leave any pets outside ...Was the shelter emailed about found dog? As long as shelter is notified you can keep dog safe with you or a rescue while looking for owner. Try to scan for an microchip for free at vets or Petco . Please post on PawBoost , Lostmydoggie.com.nextdoor.com and the shadow app to help find owners . Wish owners would keep their pets inside because too many get out of yards. Plus they should all be wearing ID tags and microchipped. . In the meantime please keep found pet inside your home where they are safe.. If anyone claims to be the owner ask for proof. Like photos, vet records and dogs name. See if dog responds to that name and also how their pet went missing . So this doesn't happen again
