Small dogs like yours are quickly relinquished to rescue org.s from Chicago Animal Care and Control 27th & Western Ave.; the citys open intake shelter. Check the stray column and also view the Dispositioned Animal section to see if she came in and was transfered to a rescue for adoption. Stray hold is 7days for dog with a microchip a rabies or ID tag. Remember collars can be taken off 3 day stray hold for dogs with out a tag or a microchip.
