MESSAGE FROM OWNER

I have had over 300 people share my post to help find Gator. I know so many of you are trying to help us bring him home. I’m trying so hard to remain positive. It’s hard to believe no one has called or texted me yet, to tell me they have my big dumb dog hanging out with them. It’s been almost 24Hrs now.... I just want him home with HIS family. ????

DESCRIPTION

Black male English black lab. Approximately 90lbs. Was wearing an orange collar with his name, and my contact number. Has small white spots on the bottom of both front paws. Please. Please let Gator come home. He is desperately missed. Please.

A few helpful tips: Start searching ASAP!! You need to start knocking door to door in area lost. Post paper flyers everywhere right away. When looking in neighborhood, walk instead of drive it helps leave familiar scents. Look in hiding places, such as under bushes in window wells etc. Put owners dirty cloths and blankets outside with treats and water. The familiar scent can be smelled for miles. It can help find the way home. Also check shelters daily. The chips often fail and shelters only hold animals 5 days before putting up for adoption. Also post on next door app and the many lost dog sites in your area/state. Walk your neighborhood in increasingly large circles around your home. Your footsteps will give your puppy a scent trail home. Repeat! Give your mail carrier a photo, description and information so he can keep an eye out for him. Also take same to the local Post Office and give to your newspaper person. It might help if you can find a dog tracker. Your local law enforcement department may know of one or may be able to help you. Also, leave flyers with any gated community guards and post them in all your local veterinarians’ offices, grocery stores and post offices. Check any places that a door can be shut, they may hide in a room-container-or anywhere. Dogs/Cats hide in contained places where WE don’t look... just a thought! GET A DOG TRACKER!!!
