MESSAGE FROM OWNER
Update: it’s now been 10 days since our Middy Mae has been seen. We’ve called the Animal Shelter, Animal Control, all local vets, placed an ad in the Boomerang, have had a handful of people looking by foot, and posted here (thank you for all those that shared the original post). We feel it’s probably one of two things going on: she is in doggy heaven or been taken in. It sure is hard not knowing which. We plan on traveling back to Laramie in ten days to go door-to-door and post flyers (our 5 year old daughter’s idea) as our last ditch effort. This summer sure has been different so far to not have her around for hikes, to chase the kids around the yard, to have her following us everywhere. Wish we could just scratch her belly one last time. Trying to keep some hope. Our dog Middy, a mini Aussie/red heeler mix who is about 25 pounds, snuck out of my mom’s yard at 1217 Sanders while we visited from Lander on June 1st. She was spotted June 2nd by Person and 15th in the morning and again in the afternoon between 13th and 9th on the south side of Spring Creek in the fields near the interstate. She ran like crazy when my dad tried to call her in. Since then she hasn’t been spotted. This is the only time she’s ever ran off and her two little human kids are missing her dearly. Any help locating her would be much appreciated.
