"Lil Gem bolted out of the carrier as we were walking to car in Newport News, 509 Coral Key Place,23606. He and I were moving to Williamsburg, Va, to be closer to my daughter in Newport News, VA.
I had been packing and boxes everywhere. The movers came on Saturday 27 April to load the truck. Lil Gem was so stressed and our home was just the two of us. When anyone came to visit, he would run up the stairs and hide until they left. Then slowly he would come out and check things. He was a very cautious fur baby in that respect. He was my Fur Baby and I took him in Dec 18 2009. I had fed his mama and then her babies. That December day was heavy snow and cold..I opened the door and Lil Gem came in. He bonded with my other Furbaby Kitkat Gem. They were identical in solid black, white spot under chin/throat area. Lil Gem was my 4th Fur baby I had taken in since 1988. They all were well provided food by the vet , shelter and my love for them. The heartache is the others lived to be 16,17 and 13 years of age. When the Vet said it was time to let them go, I would hold them until their last breath. I know where they are, however with Lil Gem I have no idea if someone took him in, if trapped and adopted. I am heart broken to this day 14 August 2019. I did all the ways of suggestions to find him even the trapping. NO LUCK. I miss him so much and cry daily. "
