MESSAGE FROM FINDER

Found this dog roaming around Eastlake, Chula Vista area! No collar. Is shaking a lot, very anxious and scared to be touched at first. But so loving and so sweet, doesn’t jump around, doesn’t bark. He seems older and it appears that his back legs might be hurt somehow

DESCRIPTION

Male, Tan/golden, medium to large size, a little fluffy, very anxious, hurt legs maybe, freshly cut paws, I don’t know the breed, maybe a sheba lab mix or some type of German Sheppard mix I don’t know

Is this the same one as posted earlier? Please check for microchip free to check at vet clinic or thrive in petco. Thanks for saving. Ask anyone claiming for proof like photos license microchip etc to protect the dog from bait dog fights seekers or going to wrong home. Please notify shelter owner may not be on social media

Found recommendations, SDHS, thank you (Note: owner will likely look at shelter, pls file report) These tips can help you reunite the animal with their family! If you are in a position to keep the animal in your home while searching for their family, please review the tips below to help guide your search: 1. Check for an ID tag.See if the animal is wearing a collar with identifying information. 2. Ask your neighbors.Eighty percent of lost pets are found within one mile of their home. Ask your neighbors or people in the area if they recognize the animal or know the owner. Put up a flyer on your property! 3. Search our database.Search for animals who have been reported as lost or missing to San Diego Humane Society. 4. Hold the pet for a few hours. 5. If you can, keep the animal in your care while you see if you’re able to locate the owner in your neighborhood rather than bringing them into the shelter. If you found a stray dog, these tips can help you safely introduce them to your resident dogs. If you have cats or small pets at home, it’s best to keep them separated from the stray dog. 6. Check the chip!If the pet is not wearing an ID tag, you can take them to your local veterinary office or shelter to have them scanned for a microchip. 7. Create a Found Pet flyer.Use this template to create a flyer and post it at local coffe shops, dog parks, pet stores, veterinary offices and other businesses. 8. 9. Use online resources. 10. Post about found pets on Facebook groups, Nextdoor using these tips: 1. Post photos and a description of the pet to community Facebook groups in your area. 2. Nextdoor is a critical resource for reuniting pets with their families. Tips for posting lost pets on Nextdoor can be found here. Be sure to include a photo and description of the pet. 3.
