Babs Fry free pet recovery specialist: So sorry about your missing cat. Here is what I suggest for missing cats Use things that would be familiar to them the sound of a can opener opening a can of tuna shaking a treat bag so on and so forth Keep doors or windows open so that if the cat returns it has immediate and free access to the property. Put dirty litter box outside. Put some of your dirty laundry outside. Put sardines or mackerel outside once it gets dark. Put another pet if you have one in a secure carrier outside overnight with supervision if they are old enough to be safe. Embark on a massive PR campaign making sure everyone is aware of the cat and it gone on social media next door Craigslist Facebook and pawboost as well as posters Do NOT Try to catch or chase your cat. Every interaction should be passive and engagement needs to be initiated by the cat. if you get a confirmed sighting of the cat let me know and I can work with you to set up cameras and a trap. 619.249.2221
