Tips for missing cats that helped many cats to be found before Hopefully it would help Put unwashed cloth with familiar scent of someone he/she attached to he/she can smell the scent of it Check with your neighbors garages and sheds maybe he’s/she’s hiding there Go look for him/her outside when it’s more quiet, take some snacks or dry food and shake it and call him/her naturally like you call him/her at home to eat or play, look under cars and bushes when you looking for him/her, post on NExtdoor app/Facebook groups and put flyers in your area not everyone on social media Remember cats don’t roam far usually from their territory, so most chances he’s/she’s hiding around till he/she feels safe to come out ! There’s a great video here for finding lost cats https://fb.watch/bZXagY25IV/ ◦

Most indoor cats will stay very close to home, but they will go into hiding because they go into survival mode, especially during the day. If it’s at all possible for you to put some recently worn clothing, bedding, a cat tree, if your cat has one near a open door window or garage where the cat will have access to return home, they usually will do it between midnight and 3 AM in the morning. Do not put a litter box out because that will attract other predators such as coyotes, raccoons, skunks, etc. At night time, you can also take a flashlight looking under cars in trees and bushes Taking with you a bag of treats if your cat is treat motivated, calling its name softly staying low to the ground, shaking the bag and using the flashlight to possibly light up your cats eyes. Sometimes they can stay in hiding for days so don’t give up. Hope these tips help and that you’re beautiful. Cat returns home safely and soon🙏🐈‍⬛❤️ don’t give up sometimes they can stay in hiding for over a week until they get really hungry, especially when a lot of commotion is going on during the daytime. also if there’s been any recent rain your kitty may stay in hiding even longer so like I said, just don’t give up. It just may take a while.
