MESSAGE FROM OWNER

Please help find my parents dog! They are elderly and he is so important to them! He's extremely friendly. He needs his insulin, so he will be very sluggish.

DESCRIPTION

BLIND Diabetic Beagle-mix with thick cataracts on eyes UPDATE: After a week without insulin Buddy will most likely be immobile. Please CHECK YOUR BARNS, SHEDS, and UNDER THINGS (like decks, bushes, brush areas) for a sleeping Beagle!! A scent dog tracked some of Buddy's movements yesterday, Buddy traveled to nearly every house on Clifton Rd between Compton and Great Oak Ln and also 3 houses on Compton and most houses on Great Oak Ln trying to get in the door, eating any food left out for other pets or wildlife and sleeping in stables, etc. We do not have a timeline for how long it took him to wander, so if you live within or near this area PLEASE CHECK ANY CAMERA FOOTAGE you may have from a surveillance or critter cam for any sign of Buddy since last Friday. If you live in or anywhere near this area, he may be in your shed or under your deck and unable to move. Please check!! OP: BLIND Diabetic Beagle-mix with thick cataracts on eyes (picture is old, he developed the cataracts last year). Skinnier due to diabetes. Needs insulin, and is sluggish without it. Friendly, gets around very well. He is my parents' dog. My mom is in the hospital and in all the confusion he got out. She will be heartbroken. Please help!

Thanks. We did all that and had a tracker out and the whole town and lots of complete strangers and a guy with a drone, but nothing. It's been too long and he must have slipped into a diabetic coma and passed away by now unless someone took him.

Laurel Elam Howard IMMEDIATELY CHECK ALL SMALL SPACES!! Under houses, in sheds, in culverts, wells, every small space! Go to the shelter IN PERSON, at least every other day. They are required to hold strays for only 3 days if there is no chip. Print flyers, and give to the mail carrier, sanitation workers, vet clinics, shelters, and post at public places, like groc stores. IMMEDIATELY cut several smelly socks into strips and hang everywhere outside. Lost dog experts also highly recommend putting the dog's bedding outside. Also, highly recommend posting to as many lost pet sites as possible. Here are some, starting with the best: HELPINGLOSTPETS.COM, FIDOFINDER.COM, PETAMBERALERT.COM, CRITTERALERT.COM, LOSTMYDOGGIE.COM,, PAWMAW.COM Helping Lost Pets (HeLP) HELPINGLOSTPETS.COM VERY IMPORTANT!!! Post to NEXTDOOR.COM & CRAIGSLIST.COM - many reunited in these free sites. USE HASHTAGS - ex: #dachshund #chihuahua #chiweenie, etc. It will increase the odds of a reunion. Put large neon posters at intersections, with only the word 'LOST', a brief description if there is no photo, and a contact phone #. NO MORE THAN THAT, or people will not bother to read as they are driving by.

Will there be a search party set-up again? Checked water, my diabetic dog needs his water, maybe he is near a water source. I pray so hard that Buddy is found soon!!
